Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi has declared that he will be voting for William Samoei Ruto as president in 2027.
‘He is a good person!’ CS Mbadi said, adding that as long as the name of Raila will not be on the ballot paper, he will vote for Ruto.

Mbadi who was speaking in Nyatike over the weekend also called on the Luo community to pick political friends carefully. He said the Kalenjin community supported Raila’s presidential candidacy in 2007 and there was nothing wrong in reciprocating that goodwill.
“After all Ruto is a good person willing to work with all the communities in the country and am sure the Luo community can get his support for the presidency in the future,” said Mbadi.
Recently the president handed over KES 511 million to the Treasury CS which had been recovered by the Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission as proceeds of unexplained wealth.

Mbadi together with James Opiyo Wandayi of the Energy docket and PS Raymond Omollo of Interior Ministry are senior officials from the Luo community in the Kenya Kwanza administration.
The community’s entry into the broadbased government has now seen a new surge of goodwill towards the Head of State.
Meanwhile speculation is rife that should the impeachment of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua go through another member from the community could benefit immensely.
