Interestingly some of this well-wishers are those that were avidly opposed against him during his tenure as president. Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta in one of those historical moments said: “I’ll not be gone for long before you start missing me!”
Those sentiments are now confirmed; while Kenyans do not exactly wish for his return as Head of State the mutual feeling is that the economy was more agreeable during his tenure than it is now.
Uhuru Kenyatta has been embroiled in a silent supremacy war with the deposed Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua who lately realised he had been used to disgrace the former president.
Shortly before he was impeached Gachagua publicly issued a statement expressing his regrets and asking the Kenyatta family for forgiveness. Although that gesture was not acknowledged by the family, a GEMA elder said it was a cultural norm that a villain who amends his ways be automatically forgiven.
Concerns have also been raised lately over the health of the former president with his absence in public functions fuelling speculation that he may be down with illness. On Friday Mr. Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta, ebbulient, as usual made an appearance at Pan-African function in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, dispelling all rumours and speculation.
Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta was Kenya’s fourth president and the son to Kenya’s founding father Mzee Jomo Kenyatta. By dint of being in position of power for over five decades the Kenyatta family is exceptionally wealthy.
Top and bottom Uhuru’s zest for life has been unrivalled by a Kenyan Head of State.
Still, Uhuru enjoys immense popularity among the regular run-of-the-mill Kenyans being an outgoing person who lives life to the full, indulging a regular urge for the tipple.

“Happy birthday, Uhuru Kenyatta @ 63
As you celebrate another year of life, may your days be filled with peace, joy, and the freedom you’ve championed. From leading a nation to now leading in your next chapter, may your legacy continue to inspire unity and progress. Cheers to a man whose name means “Freedom” – may your life reflect that in every way. Enjoy this special day, and here’s to many more years of wisdom, laughter, and perhaps a few less political headaches.
