Willis Ayieko Murder: New Twist As Mystery Behind Murder Deepens

Spread the love
A workmate of former Human Resource Manager at Wells Fargo, Willis Ayieko, has featured in the murder mystery as police arrested yet another suspect on Wednesday.

Deborah Auko Tendo, author of the moving biography “Rough Silk” featured in the murder mystery when a Facebook user accused her husband of being behind the murder. The user asserted that Tendo was in a relationship with the late Ayieko and that the husband had gotten privy to the affair. She backed her claims with photos.

In retribution Tendo has reported the user to police saying that although she is used to controversy, accusing someone she loves (the husband) of murder was unforgivable. She further clarified that she had never been in the hotel she, and the late, were accused of frequenting.

Tendo trashed claims that she was with the deceased sometime before the murder, saying she was at work till late in the evening that day and only got to Alego after the incident.

“I have never ever boarded a flight with the deceased…ever. Not even for work..our departments couldn’t be further from each other,” she wrote, adding “A murder allegation on someone I love is a serious allegation. So be sure whoever is sending you a message which you are sharing can back it up.”

Deborah Auko Tendo is a senior employee at Wells Fargo.

Meanwhile, officers from Dudi police station on Wednesday evening arrested 52-year-old Samuel Onyango Ongweso in the Doho area of Khisa West, Kakamega County.

This is the seventh arrest in connection with investigations over the murder of the late Willis Ayieko Onyango.

The suspect was arrested following a tip off from the public and is believed to be a vital link in resolving the murder.

Willis Ayieko Onyango’s lifeless body was discovered by a youngster at Mungowere stream after he had been declared missing for four days.

Detectives have been investigating whether the murder could be tied in to a KES 64.6 million heist by employees of the cash-in-transit firm Wells Fargo last year.

Willis Ayieko was laid to rest at his rural home in Ong’iende village, Alego-Usonga sub-county, Siaya County with leaders at the burial blaming the government for dragging their feet in the investigations.

Regardless of the motive, the family and friends are now seeking closure and calling for the murderer(s) to be brought to book.
