For Siaya County choir, triumphing in the Omwombo Agola folk song of class 701 Z and with a stunning 86 per cent, meant more than an overall win.

The win had to happen in style and in the most spectacular way.
The choir momentarily turned the hall into a dancing arena immediately they were announced as winners in folksong.
They presented a luo folk song that praises the good works done by Omwombo Agola that transformed lives of the community.
According to Siaya County choir Chairman Omamo Ogola, Siaya has so far lifted 6 trophies.
As of now we have 6 trophies. 4 trophies from the community and 2 from the County Staff Choir. More trophies to be collected on Sunday.
The Siaya county choir organizing Secretary Vincent Otiu said they prepared for the festivals well for the festival.
“We sacrificed time for practice and we have done our best in the performances’ said Otiu.
Julie Chausiku from Siaya county also won the golden medal in a Soprano Solo- class of 101 earning 92 percent marks and lifted the trophy.
Idah Achieng and Joseph Ouma presented Solo Alto and Solo Tenor and they got 83 percent and 85 percent respectively.
Ouma was ranked position 8 out of the 26 participants while Achieng was in position 10 out of 22 participants.
