A woman fatally stabbed a man who allegedly broke into her house in Kerwa Town, Kiambu County, on January 5.
The woman told police that the man forcibly entered her home, prompting a confrontation in which she used a kitchen knife to defend herself.
Police discovered the man’s body inside the woman’s house, with stab wounds to the chest, following the early-morning incident.
The woman explained that she was asleep when she heard a commotion from the sitting room. After confronting the intruder, a struggle ensued, resulting in the fatal stabbing.
Police recovered the blood-stained kitchen knife as evidence and moved the body to the mortuary for an autopsy.
