Prior to today’s encounter Leopards interim coach Fred Ambani has been expressing grave concerns over his misfiring strikers.
Ingwe has lost and drawn in successive matches due to a lackluster performance among its strikers with the club’s top scorer, Sydney Lokale, only having four goals to his credit this deep into the Kenya Premier League.
Though Leopards were by far the better outfit one could still see gaping holes in the striking formation that if harnessed could have probably led to a higher scoreline.
Dero FC gave a good account of themselves in the second half holding the marauding Leopards to a goalless forty-five minutes. All the goals of the match were scored in the first half.
AFC Leopards now advance to Round 32 of Mozzart Bet Cup Tournament.
Besides Governor James Aggrey Bob Orengo others in attendance were Rarieda MP Paul Otiende Amollo, Public Service Board Chairman Eng. Collins Juma, the CEO Wilfred Nyagudi, several County Executive Committee Members and other dignitaries.
This is the second match played at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Stadium in Siaya since its inception on 2nd January 2025.
