Today(Wednesday) morning, Governor James Orengo commissioned the completed Rabango junction-Siaya Kababa -hospital road.
And in the afternoon, Orengo launched the construction of Sega Market ring road meant to boost transport,safety and trade in the region.
The road aims at improving accessibility hence improving property value besides boosting the general business environment for informal traders.
Orengo said the road is part of his wider plans to attract investors in Siaya.
“I am a Governor who actialises his plans .the Contractor (Mjesh Enterprises limited) whom we have trusted with the with the work is superb and President William Ruto and his Uganda counterpart Yoweri Mseveni were musmarised by his work at Migwena grounds and Siaya stadium.
We are optimistic that the Sega ring road will be completed. It shall start from the Sega tarmac, goes round the market and it extends past Sega mission Catholic till it connects to Ugunja-Busia road.

“Orengo has came to our aid through the improvement of the road to bitumen standards, ” said Anyango.
Several MCA’s including North Ugenya MCA Ben Adalla, The Budget chair Sylverster Madialo, North Gem MCA Bismac Olango, Ukwala’s Peter Oduor and Central Gem MCA Silas Madingu backed Orengo on road investments.
