Kenya’s ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo was yesterday honoured to participate in a dynamic plenary discussion on ‘Shaping Digital Sovereignty Globally,’ hosted by Jennifer Bonne at the 16th German Digital Summit in Jena City.
The panel included influential figures like Stefan Schnorr (State Secretary, German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport), Francisco Gaetani (Secretary for State Transformation, Brazil’s Ministry of Public Service Management and Innovation), Paul de Bott (General Manager, TSMC Europe), and Marianne Janik (CEO, Microsoft Germany).
This annual summit, organized by the German Government, brings together leaders from the public and private sectors, academia, and civil society to deliberate on the future of digitalization.
The dialogue focused on crucial themes such as reinforcing digital sovereignty, safeguarding public data, enhancing digital skills, advancing Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, and technological innovation.
The event serves as a critical platform for discussing digital advancements, with active International participation that includes countries like Kenya.
