The extreme poverty, illness and illiteracy that has engulfed the region for years will be addressed by Governor James Orengo’s administration.

West Gem MCA Susan Okwiri Sino, has no doubt of Orengo’s leadership not he shall not only deliver campaign his manifestos pledges but also transform lives of Siaya residents.
“Some of the projects in the governor’s manifesto and pegged on the 9 points agenda are visible in my west Gem ward,” said Okwiri adding that by Monday next week, roads maintained by Orengo will have hit 15
“Electorates in West Gem have benefitted from free maize seeds and subsidized fertilizers courtesy of Orengo,” she said adding some of the impassable roads are now motorable
Okwiri who spoke during the burial of brother in-law Oscar Collince Sino in West Gem asked Siaya residents to give the current regime necessary support.

Let our people target heads of department and make necessary inquiries with regards to projects earmarked for implementation as documented and factored in the budgets.
Gem politician cum businessman Sam Opot shared similar sentiments saying residents should avoid issues that distract those entrusted with positions including governor.

“Though you are allowed to put your leaders to task but do it with a lot of decorum. Let’s give them time for now and wait for them at the end of their tenure and judge them.
Give them time and space to deliver services for we have pending questions to ask at the end of their term.
