Siaya health department is rooting for a master plan that would address all diseases including the zoonotic ones.

“Let us think of having a master plan for the health docket. We know that the CIDP’s will go for five years and should we have a 10-20 years master plan, will be able to know how the department will thrive on quality healthcare in future,” said Orwenjo.
He added that “there are new or emerging diseases that require us to think broadly on ideas to support.

Oruenjo said all the pandemics that has happened globally emerges from zoonotic diseases so we need not to work in silos.

Orwenjo at the same time urged county health management team(CHMT) to relook the County Integrated Development Plan and tease it out especially clause that touches health docket.
“Let’s look into the recently signed CIDP and find out what its allocation for health.
