Kenyan content creator on tik-tok Nyako is facing imminent deportation from Germany.
The German Embassy in Nairobi confirmed on Thursday 28 December that her deportation papers are ready. Nyako expressed her struggles in adopting to life in Germany, revealing that she is set to be airlifted back to Kenya in the coming week.
Compounding her challenges, Nyako appealed for assistance for her children, who hold German citizenship. She urged Kenyans residing in Germany to come forward and consider adopting her kids after her deportation. Nyako emphasized the potential difficulties her children might face if left in Germany without proper guardianship.
Despite her controversial reputation, Nyako has previously extended support to Kenyans in times of need. Now, in a vulnerable situation, she is turning to the same community for help. The question remains whether well-meaning Kenyans will respond to her plea and offer the support she requires during this challenging time.
In a livestream video Nyako made a touching plea: Nimekatiwa stima, nataka mchango. Wamesema next weekend nakua deported so I don’t need stima. Deportation papers zangu ziko tayari so wamenikatia stima, ata maji sina imagine. Deportation papers ziko tayari, sasa sijui nani ata adopt hawa watoto wangu.”
The controversial Tick-toker has upward of 200,000 followers and is never ashamed to remind her fans that she was once a commercial sex-worker in the streets of Nairobi.
