Students from Oruba Boys Secondary School in Migori County yesterday held peaceful protests to dispute the outcome of the 2023 KCSE examinations.

The students said it was too much of a coincidence that out of the 75 students who sat for the exams none scored above C— (minus).

Even then it’s only two who scored C—(minus) while the rest scored Ds and Es.

Carrying banners and singing solidarity songs The students marched to the offices of the Migori County Director of Education.

According to the students, they have never scored such dismal grades during their entire four years of schooling and the results were an outright shock.

Their attempts to reach the school Principal, Deputy Principal and even the Exam Master were thwarted as they were unavailable both  physically and over the phone.

Additionally, their hopes were dashed into mud as the Education Office was empty, with only a junior officer who refused to comment to the media directing them to sort out with the Kenya National Examination Council offices.
