Three people were on Thursday arraigned in a Siaya Court among them a driver attached to the Siaya Governor’s office for the offence of assaulting a political activist.
Chris Owalla was attacked by persons known to himself and badly beaten up as he was leaving a burial in Central Sakwa. The attack was reported to be politically motivated.
Mr. Owalla is a human and environmental activist who has been in the forefront of questioning the inflated wage bill arising from the Siaya Public Service Board engaging unqualified and excessive personnel.
A vernacular radio station confirmed that a driver attached to Governor Orengo’s office is among the three suspects who were arrested by Detectives from DCI and after being positively identified were on Thursday arraigned in court.
