Police in Kiambu County have launched investigations following the shocking attack last night on Juja OCS, John Misoi.
The officer, entrusted with maintaining law and order in the region, found himself in the line of fire, quite literally, during an operation targeting illicit brew and drug peddlers.
Reports indicate that the incident happened in the dead of night at Gachororo Mashinani area.
Misoi, carrying out his duty patrolling the area, encountered an unknown assailant who, without warning, shot him with an arrow.

Fortunately, Misoi’s injuries, including a knee injury sustained during the altercation, are not life-threatening.
Currently, he is undergoing medical treatment and showing positive signs of recovery.
The swift response of medical personnel and the concerted efforts of police officers ensured that Misoi is receiving the necessary care and attention.
Kiambu County Police Commander has confirmed the incident, saying that the police are leaving no stone unturned in their quest for justice.
Security measures have been bolstered in the area, with additional personnel deployed to apprehend the perpetrator(s) responsible for the brazen attack.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the altercation may have stemmed from a verbal exchange between the inebriated officer and the assailant near a local business center.
