What if we had a modern, state-of-the-art, fully equipped teacher wellness center?
Can you envision a facility where teachers just walk in, speak about their problems, get assessed, and immediately get booked for professional help?
Or just walk into the center and have a walk in the serene environment while meditating or chatting with colleagues?
What if the center is fully equipped with a health and fitness facility just for teachers?
Or a mental health treatment, rehabilitation, and recovery center?
Well, it is not a dream anymore!
The Teachers’ Wellness Center is coming, courtesy of the Kenya Women Teachers Association (KEWOTA), a welfare organization that enhances the living standards of women in the teaching profession by providing avenues for professional, economic, and personal development.
KEWOTA is currently lobbying for funds to establish a Teacher Wellness Centre in Nairobi, which will be the first of its kind in Kenya. The center will be fully equipped and resourced with professionals to assist teachers with various mental wellness issues.
Ready to be part of this noble legacy?

On the 26th of May, KEWOTA shall have a charity walk. As part of Mental Health Awareness Month in May, this charity walk seeks to create a social movement focused on increasing awareness for mental health, and empowering teachers with lived experience to seek help for themselves including within the school workplace.
More than 2000 people will participate in the walk, including Heads of education institutions, teachers, students, parents, and staff from corporate firms.
The walk shall be upbeat, entertaining, and unique.
