The vacancies usually on contract basis cover areas of cleaning, rates collection and security.

The periodical employment of county staff is enshrined in the Constitution of Kenya 2010 Article 176 and the County Government Act No. 17 of 2012, Section 59(i)(b).

The county government strives to maintain transparency and accountability in matters of employment although critics will always tell a different story.
