The County Government of Siaya is recruiting 168 “agri-preneuers”. The program falls under the National Agriculture Value Chain Development Project (NAVCDP) and is geared towards providing employment to youth with the right skill sets to act as catalysts for change, bringing innovative technologies, resources and market connection to farmers.

The recruitment will be done at Ward level to ensure fairness and allow communities to identify the correct candidates.
Meanwhile the CECM Department of Agriculture, Food Security, Livestock and Blue Economy, Mr. Sylvester K’Okoth has urged farmers to come out and bring their cattle, sheep and pigs for vaccination against the foot and mouth disease outbreak.
A circular issued three days ago delineates the approved centres for the ongoing exercise.
Eligible candidates for the agri-preneuer program in enlisted wards are urged to fill the online form found at the link below and submit for consideration by 1st October 2024.
