The tour aims at acquainting the doctors with the community cultural sites and norms which were used by the past leaders during the initial years of independence. The delegation appreciated the cultural aura and had an opportunity to see for themselves how the late Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, his son, who is also former Prime Minister Raila Amollo Odinga together with Siaya Governor James Aggrey Bob Orengo fought gallantly for the country’s democracy and multiparty electoral system in their heydays.
The tour aims at providing them with cultural insights of the community and it’s leadership hierarchy . The Tango foundation doctors have been in the county under the invitation of Governor James Aggrey Bob Orengo and have already performed over thirty five (35) general and minor surgeries at both Siaya County Referral Hospital and Bondo sub-County Hospital respectively.
Arrangements for the surgical camp were made in 2023 when Governor Orengo paid a visit to the city of Taber in Canada.

The Taber delegation witnessed the innovative developments of the Nyalore administration in areas of education and early childhood foundational learning.
The Governor announced several interventions on education that will see a number of ECDEs constructed in Bondo as well as other sub-Counties.
Orengo said his admininistration was willing to embrace new ideas and partnerships in various areas including modern irrigation processes for Lower Nzioa River and Yala to improve the lives of residents of Siaya County.
