Hillary Orwa, popularly known as Chuma Liet, is an influential youth leader in both Homa Bay and Kisumu counties.
He has officially declared his interest in vying for a position in the upcoming National Youth Council (NYC) elections, following the recent Cabinet approval of Ksh 165 million to facilitate the nationwide polls.
A former student of The Homa Bay National School, Hillary has remained committed to youth empowerment and grassroots mobilization, gaining recognition for his consistent engagement in public affairs.
His political journey traces back to his days at The Kisumu National Polytechnic, where he was actively involved in student leadership and campus politics.
Since then, he has continued to sharpen his political acumen under the mentorship of Kisumu City Manager, Abala Wanga. This mentorship has played a pivotal role in shaping Hillary’s approach to public service and leadership, particularly within the urban governance and youth development spaces.
Hillary has also established himself as a familiar face in regional political circles, having worked closely with a number of prominent leaders including Governor Gladys Wanga, Hon. Dr. Lilian Gogo,Former Rangwe Mp Hon.Martin Ogindo,Hon. Mickey Ochieng,Hon.Ojala Nyang’i and Hon. Florence Ouma.
