John Mbadi has set up mammoth billboards to welcome President William Ruto to Homa Bay today.

The Head of State continues his four-day Nyanza visit in the region that voted overwhelmingly for Raila Odinga in the 2022 General Election.

Ruto’s Nyanza tour begun yesterday on Wednesday, August 28, in Migori county, where he launched the Kegonga Cluster Water Project and Ngere-Mapera Road before inspecting the progress in the Lower Kuja Irrigation Project.

The head of state awarded Homabay county with two lucrative positions in his administration, with Mbadi in Treasury and Raymond Omollo serving as Interior Principal Secretary.

Ahead of the president’s visit, Mbadi has pulled all the stops to ensure a memorable event in the county.

Mbadi has placed massive billboards welcoming the president on roads leading into Homa Bay CBD.

The billboard shows Mbadi shaking Ruto’s hand during his swearing-in ceremony with welcoming words in the local Luo dialect.

“H.E William Samoei Ruto, welcome Homa Bay county. We welcome you home,” reads the billboard.

In Homa Bay, Ruto will commission the Oyugis Water Project, inspect the Homa Bay Fish Market, and launch the Rusinga Ring Road. He will then grace Mbadi’s thanksgiving service.
