Officers from the County Government of Siaya today visited junior schools that qualified for the National Ball Games to be held in Kakamega County starting next week.
The County, represented by the CECM for Culture, Tourism, and Sports, Angeline Oduor, and the Chief Officer for Governance, Administration, and ICT, Mr. Walter Okelo, provided all the teams with tracksuits, jerseys, and cash to aid in their preparations for the National Championship.
The schools, Siaya Central Junior School Boys’ (Basketball Team) and Sinaga Junior School Girls’ (Soccer Team) emerged as champions in the Nyanza Region Junior School Games hosted at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Stadium early this week.
Meanwhile, early Friday evening an X post on Siaya Governor James Aggrey Bob Orengo’s handle permanently put to rest fears that the Governor might have been indisposed since he went out of circulation more than a week ago.
The Governor posted that he and his wife Betty Murungi had spent a fruitful day with an Asiatic-looking friend, possibly in India.
