TOTTENHAM star Eric Dier has agreed a stunning switch to Bayern Munich, according to reports.

The Times claim the England international has “reached an agreement in principle” with the Bavarians after initial talks.

Meanwhile, PSG have reportedly made Bruno Guimaraes their No1 transfer target – but Newcastle boss Eddie Howe is in a defiant mood about his midfield general’s future.

Elsewhere, Kalvin Phillips looks set to stay in England in a huge boost to Premier League sides after Juventus pulled OUT of the running to sign him.

Ange Postecoglou has given an update on the future of Eric Dier at Tottenham.

The Spurs boss spoke after his side’s 1-0 victory over Burnley in the FA Cup.

The Aussie boss explained that Dier had been left out of the squad after picking up an injury in training.

He said: “He’s injured. He got injured at training yesterday.”

Before explaining he knows nothing of an approach from Bayern Munich, saying: “Absolutely zero. But Eric didn’t train yesterday because he was injured so he was not selected and that was it.”

Spurs give Dier ‘green light’
Tottenham have reportedly given Eric Dier the ‘green light’ to complete a move to Bayern Munich.

According to Sky in Germany, Dier is keen on joining the Bavarians and a deal looks to be edging closer.

It is said that the Englishman will join Bayern on a contact until at least 2025 for a transfer fee of less than £5m.

Arsenal are reportedly interested in Everton midfielder Amadou Onana.

TEAMtalk have claimed that Arsenal have made an approach to sign the 22-year-old this month with Mikel Arteta said to be a “huge admirer” of the player.

But it’s reported that it would take a huge fee to pry him away from Goodison Park.

Onana is under contract at Everton until 2027 after penning a five-year deal upon his arrival.

And Sean Dyche’s side are said to be looking for a fee between £70m and £90m for Onana to part ways with the club.

Sancho Dortmund move ‘delayed’
Jadon Sancho’s return to Borussia Dortmund looks to have hit a stumbling block.

The wantaway star was due to make the loan switch to Germany from Man Utd imminently.

But now Sky in Germany say the negotiations are not finished just yet and some issues are ‘dragging on’ – including working out whether or not there will be an option to buy Sancho in the summer.

The Bundesliga side were set to pay just £3.4m for the loan despite Sancho earning £250,000 a week.

Juve U-turn on Phillips
Kalvin Phillips is said to be keen on leaving the Premier League in search of minutes before Euro 2024 this summer.

And reports had suggested that Manchester City could loan him out to Italian giants Juventus.

Juve had been linked with the move for the England International who has struggled for minutes with City.

But in a twist it would appear the package to bring Phillips to Italy would simply be too expensive for the Old Lady.

Juve director Cristiano Giuntoli said: “We don’t see any opportunity from a technical or financial point of view.

“We look for correct opportunities and can’t see any now.”

Martial offered United escape route
Anthony Martial has been offered an escape route from Manchester United by Fenerbahce.

The 28-year-old is in the final six months of his contract at Old Trafford and is free to talk to clubs overseas.

Martial is available to leave on a free transfer in the summer when his deal expires, but Fernerhace are reportedly keen to get a deal agreed this month.

According to Turkish outlet Takvim Fenerbahce want to sign him now and have made an initial offer of £6.8m to the Red Devils.

Eddie Howe has put up strong defences against the rumours surrounding Bruno Guimaraes.

The Newcastle boss was quick to let the media know that Guimaraes is not up for sale.

The Brazilian international has been subject to a number of reports that Paris Saint-Germain are keen to sign him.

Arsenal are reportedly plotting a move for Ajax defender Jorrel Hato.

The 17-year-old wonderkid has already captained the Dutch giants twice this season.

Mikel Arteta is understood to be keen to bolster his defensive options in the transfer market.

The Gunners boss is currently without injured full-back duo Oleksandr Zinchenko and Jurrien Timber as well as losing Takehiro Tomiyasu to the Asia Cup.

Tuchel approves Dier deal
Thomas Tuchel has reportedly approved Eric Dier as a potential signing for Bayern Munich.

Dier has fallen out of favour at Spurs since the arrival of Ange Postecoglou and he could opt to reunite with former teammate Harry Kane in Germany.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Bayern boss Tuchel gave the green light for Dier to join in the summer and is ready to make it happen this month.

The Bavarians are searching for a new centre-back who can help provide cover immediately and are said to see Dier as a versatile and realistic option.

Former Liverpool star Roberto Firmino could be coming back to the Premier League after a disappointing spell in Saudi Arabia.

According to TalkSPORT, Fulham have been “offered the chance” to sign the centre-forward from Al-Ahli.

Former Tottenham defender Pascal Chimbonda has come out of retirement aged 44 – after signing HIMSELF.

Chimbonda became manager of ninth tier outfit Skelmersdale United in October to kickstart his coaching career.

And after being dished out a 3-match ban for some touchline antics he has found a cheeky way to get himself back with his squad.

The former pro has signed himself up to PLAY for the team and has come out of retirement to do so.

The Roma forward and World Cup winner is said to be available for just £10.35million until January 15.

But Guimaraes would not come cheap having signed a new five-year deal in October which is said to have included a £100m release clause.

Howe was probed on PSG’s reported interest and vowed to keep hold of his star man.

The Croatian is out injured after damaging his ACL in September and is not likely to return to action before the end of this season.

And with his whopping £180,000-a-week contract up in the summer, Perisic is unlikely to pull on the Spurs shirt again.

Postecoglou said: “He’s obviously got some national team commitments he wants to get back to as soon as possible. He’s been a significant loss for us.

“But yeah, he won’t… he’s unlikely to play for us again.”
