A mob almost lynched a man Monday afternoon as he tried to escape after killing his wife over a domestic row.
Irate villagers at Kajimbo, Oboch location in Nyakach beat up senseless a man identified as Mr. Osogo who had brutally murdered his wife.
The body of the late Madam Brigitte, a teacher at Obwolo Mixed Secondary School was found lying in a her own pool of blood this evening and neighbours report that Mr. Osogo – a bodyguard to a local politician was the perpetrator of the heinous act.
Osogo was quickly cornered by the locals who gave him a beating of a lifetime before being rescued by the police.
The body of Madam Brigitte has been moved to Nyakach sub-County Hospital mortuary pending postmortem as the police escalate investigations into the murder.
