Wakili Fred Odumo Nying’uro recently had a sit-in with widows in Dago area of Kisumu West sub-county.
The meeting focused on discussing the social protection needs of the widows as a special vulnerable group.
The Nairobi lawyer encouraged them to go into small enterprise production for which he promised them financial support.
Some of the women have set up a mat weaving project and Wakili promised to look for markets outside the county.
During the meeting Wakili Fred Odumo Nying’uro was flanked by Salim Onyango Tosha, the Manyatta B aspirant for Member of County Assembly (MCA).
Following the successful talks the widows promised Wakili Fred Odumo Nying’uro their full support and urged him to soldier on in his crusade of economically emancipating the less privileged.
