President William Ruto is reportedly under immense pressure to deal with cartels linked to fake fertilizers and sort out grievances of the striking doctors.
The government has not dealt with cartels that procured fake fertilizers and yet the deal has ruined the reputation of the Kenya Kwanza government.
Majority sighed with relief when government announced that they were going to receive subsidized fertilizers only to get fake fertilizers that saw them dig deep into their pockets to secure the commodities from the private entities yet those involved are freely roaming about.
We want to see the president taking charge and reigning in those soiling his government. Kenyans do not trust the regime anymore since the Head of State who not only swore to protect them but also to uplift their standards has reneged on his promises.
Siaya Governor James Aggrey Bob Orengo today said the country is indeed headed in the wrong direction and that’s why the Catholic Bishops sought audience with the president to act fast.
The county boss said doctors are learned people and they deserve better working conditions and pay so the quicker they resolved their outstanding disputes the better forall of us.
Even the hustlers whom Ruto swore to respond to their distresses are equally suffering and most of them who land in hospitals cannot get treatment since doctors are out pressing the government to heed to their requests.
Orengo spoke while presiding over a fund-drive in aid of the St Pantallion Catholic Church.
The national government must end the doctors strike.
He also differed with Sirisia MP John Waluke who demanded leaders from Nyanza to embrace and recognize Ruto now that Azimio leader Raila Odinga is headed to AU.
” President Ruto has messed up the country a situation that prompted Catholic Bishops to have an audience with him,”
Orengo was accompanied by Alego-Usonga MP Samuel Onunga Atandi , Usonga Ward MCA Sylvester Madiallo, South East Ward’s MCA Scholastiica Madowo and Siaya Township Wards Obiero Otare.
Atandi declared that he will not be vying for the gubernatorial seat in 2017 but will instead seek a third term in parliamentary re-election.
He confirmed that he shall be on the ballot but only to vie as an MP.
“I want to make it clear here that I will seek gubernatorial seat in 2032 and not 2027. Am concentrating on connecting Alego-Usonga residents with power, paying for each student in day school KES 8,000 and undertaking other programmes with an aim of popularizing myself for MP seat,” said Atandi.
Otare assured Siaya residents that it’s Orengo administration that will save them from poverty illness and ignorance
“Do not put your hopes on National government, embrace county government and reap from it’s fruits,” said Otare.
The MCA added that development plans and programs initiated by Governor Orengo will not only transform Siaya but make it have shining tangible projects
Otare added that Orengo administration is committed to completing Siaya stadium .
“The stadium will start operation in August and competent constructors have resumed the work after the previous one had it’s contract terminated,” said Otare.
We don’t support Orengo leadership in vain. The bus park, Stadium that are stalling are being worked on. We also have an KES 800 million modern market whose constraction will be launched this Wednesday.
Governor is also improving road networks to ease transportation for business within Siaya municipality.
“We have Rabango-SDA-Hospital road that is being converted to bitumen standards once complete would aid flow of goods and people hence boosting business in the municipality,” said Otare.
“We have also witnessed the installation of Siriwo rice mill in Usonga, these are the developments that will help the famers put food on the table and money in the pocket,” said Otare.
