The Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company (NCWSC) has informed residents of a scheduled 26-hour water supply interruption affecting dozens of neighborhoods.
In a notice released on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, the company announced it will shut down the Sasumua Water Treatment Plant from Friday, February 20, at 6:00 am until Saturday, February 21, at 8:00 am. The utility explained that engineers need this window to perform essential maintenance and upgrades to boost the plant’s production efficiency.
