Siaya Governor James Aggrey Bob Orengo today witnessed the swearing in of the newly appointed County Executive Member in charge of Water , Sanitation , Environment, Climate Change and Natural Resources Prof. Jackline Adhiambo Oduol.
One Municipal Board member was also sworn in as were seven newly appointed Chief Officers who were newly inaugurated.
Prof. Oduol’s selection was considered by civil society as clandestine and non procedural. She, however, impressed immensely during the vetting interviews with her apparent grasp of water matters in relation to Siaya County. It now remains to be seen whether she will be able to translate the talk into action.
