“Finally, justice at last,” will be heard through the court corridors as a sigh of relief for many parents. This comes after health stakeholders and magistrates held a meeting to address the obstacles that have been impeding the hearing of juvenile cases in Siaya courts.
During the meeting, stakeholders and magistrates deliberated on methods to expedite the hearing process, which included the establishment of specialized courts for juvenile cases and providing training for legal professionals in handling such cases.
This marked a significant stride in ensuring that Gender Based Violence, defilement, and cases involving child violation receive fair and prompt justice. The commitment and cooperation displayed at the meeting indicated a positive shift towards a more effective and child-friendly justice system.
