Residents of a village in Bomet County were shocked to discover the body of a villager perched atop the lower branches of a cypress tree in his compound.
Presuming the man had hanged himself the villagers sought help, summoning the police.
When police arrived to remove the ‘body’, they discovered the villager was very much alive.
He told them he was enjoying an afternoon siesta up the tree and had been deep asleep as the commotion about his death went on under the tree.
