Members of a family have been rushed to hospital in critical condition following a collision between their saloon car and a truck on Kisumu-Busia Road.
Police sources have indicated that the saloon which belongs to a car hire firm was ferrying the family upcountry for Christmas celebrations when the accident occurred.
The wreckage of the car is still at the accident scene next to the Nzoia Bridge outside Ugunja town.
The six occupants of the salon were rushed to Ugunja sub-County Hospital where we have reliably informed that they are in Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
