President Dr. William Samoei Ruto will usher in the new year with an address to the nation tonight at 9:00 PM in Nakuru State Lodge. In his address, Ruto is expected to lead Kenyans in welcoming the new year 2024 and if possible name some of the expectations Kenyans should bear in mind in the year ahead.
Peripherally Ruto is expected to respond to Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition leader Raila Odinga’s threat to get back to mass action demonstrations, popularly known as Maandamano.
Raila has been sending out mixed signals over the inability by NADCO Report to address the high cost of living.
Recently he challenged the Kenya Kwanza administration to make haste in addressing the thorny issue of lowering the high cost of living.
