New Warrap governor to work under tree for 6 months

The new governor of Warrap State, in South Sudan, Kuol Muor Muor has refused to work in the office of his predecessors within a ministry building and set up a cabinet office under a Mahogany tree until the construction of the new office is completed.

This is according to William Wol Mayom, the State’s Minister of Information and Communication.
Wol says the former governors had operated from the Ministry of Corporative, a culture Governor Koul Muor Muor seeks to change.

According to Wol, Governor Col. Koul Muor Muor has moved to where land was allocated in 2006, but it has not been developed.

The governor has now decided to discharge his duties from under the tree until a secretariat is built in the next six months.

He says, a construction company has arrived in the state to commence the project of the State governor’s office.
In the meantime, the Council of Ministers will conduct a meeting under the tree.
