Kibra Societal Empowerment, Peace and Budget Champions Organization Secretary General Hrd. David Livingstone Kose Oyombe on Monday morning presented a memorandum to the Parliamentary Housing Committee chaired by Hon. Kimani Ichungwa.

Comments and Recommendations towards the re-amendment of Part (3) No. 12 .The establishment of affordable housing corporate board and affordable housing fund to represent community leaders at informal settlements PWD, Minority, Saccos and Housing savings scheme internally to be part of the board was greatly recognized.

Statement of whether the Bill concerns County Government was also an elephant in the room which lead to unanimous proposals for National Government to work in collaboration with the County Government as the prime custodian of the urban County land.

Public lands privatisation to benefit individuals as a sign of land grabbing by prominent people in the government especially in Kibra Sub County – Woodley Ward along Joseph Kangethe Road opposite Winner’s Chapel and encroachment of government land was also part of discussion towards recovery method facilitation to create more spaces for affordable housing construction.
