Siaya Pastor Whose Body was Found Dumped by Roadside Had An Affair with Married Woman

Siaya County Police Commander Mr. Cleti Kimaiyo has revealed that the pastor whose body was discovered along a footpath on Thursday was engaged in a clandestine affair with a married woman.

Mr. Kimaiyo further revealed that police are pursuing substantive leads that could result in an arrest, any time now.

“Preliminary intelligence which will be subjected to intense probe pointed at a possible love triangle involving the deceased and a married woman in the locality,” a  statement released by the police stated.

The deceased aged about 60, whose body was found along a footpath on Wednesday had sustained a deep cut on the right side of the forehead.

The body was positively identified as being that of a pastor in the locality.

“It was reported that the body of a male adult had been spotted on a footpath within Mawua ‘B’ village, Malanga Sub Location in North Gem Location,” the statement by the police commander went on.

Upon identification, residents confirmed that the pastor was involved in a love triangle which could have led to his death.

“The murder is suspected to have been committed elsewhere before the body was ferried to the scene as it bore no signs of struggle and had minimal blood stains,” said Kimaiyo.

The body was moved to Yala Sub County Hospital Mortuary awaiting post-mortem examination.

The police are pursuing leads on the love triangle motive.
