CCTV footage recording from a building next to a petrol station in Sabatia has indicated that two people drove the silverish double-cabin vehicle owned by Willis Ayieko into the station about 5:48pm on Saturday evening.

The duo took a long time inside the parked vehicle before emerging and walking away casually, one totting two heavy shopping bags.

Unaware of the cameras the duo walked right into their glare with the only camouflage being the caps they each donned. They then walk a good distance before stopping by the roadside to hail Bodaboda riders.

The police are now pursuing concrete leads into the disappearance of Willis Ayieko.

The family filed a missing person report was on Monday 21 October 2024 after frantic efforts failed to unearth his whereabouts.

Willis left the Gem Nyamninia home of former Siaya Director of Governor’s Press Unit Mr. Ben Agina for Kisumu after attending a burial that Saturday.

Reports indicate that he may have gotten to Kisumu where he possibly fell prey to carjackers.

The fact that the two assailants used Bodaboda to get away after dumping the vehicle could point to their coming from the vicinity. Detectives from the Special Crimes Investigative Bureau (SCRIB) are on the ground and we will be appraising you of the progress of investigations as we receive them.
