Kenyans have begun to raise concerns owing to the surging number of road crashes, deaths, and injuries in the past few days with several conspiracy theories being advanced.
ADVERTISEMENTMeanwhile, police in Nyeri are investigating an incident where a lorry allegedly run over an officer from the Kenya National Highway Authorities.
The report largely circulated on social media indicates that the lorry had been stopped by the officer along the Nyeri – Nanyuki road, the driver hit and killed the deceased before fleeing from the crime scene.
A report on vernacular radio station Kameme FM has stated that the suspect is being sought after by the police.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki today admitted that the rising numbers of road accidents are already a menace.
