Former Gatundu South MP and current minister for Trade Moses Kuria has issued another rankling statement. According to Kuria the Mount Kenya region seems to have an exclusive preserve of successfully impeaching governors while attempts from other regions are always thwarted.
“In the last tern, Kiambu County from Mt Kenya region made history by becoming the first county to successfully impeach a Governor. In this term, Meru County In Mt Kenya region is determined to become the first County to successfully impeach the Governor. Unless impeachment has something to do with the soils, altitude or climatic conditions, the Mt Kenya region must allow other regions to impeach their Governors in the spirit of inclusivity, diversity and national cohesion. My two Cents”
Whether the statement was made tongue-in-cheek or not, recent utterances by Kuria have been particularly rankling.
