The Political Parties Disputes Tribunal on Wednesday November 29, 2023 declared the ODM disciplinary proceedings against Gem MP Elisha Odhiambo Akuba as unprocedural and a violation of the Constitution.
The Tribunal also found that the ODM Disciplinary Committee was not properly constituted and the decision of the National Executive Committee to expel the MP from the Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party was, therefore, illegal.
The Registrar of Political Parties was further restrained from removing the name of the MP from the membership register of the party.
Posting on his Facebook page Wednesday night Akuba called it “The 7th win for Gem people since April 2022.”
