Respite For Dougy As SPF Remit Their Burial Contributions: Where’s the Remaining KES 900,000?

Susan Waka, Group Secretary for Siaya Political Forum (main group) and group Admin Junior Oluoch today handed over a cheque for KES 483,000 to the wife and father of the late Douglas Odero.

The amount is the full contribution of KES 483,000 by members of the WhatsApp group. The physical handing over was done for purposes of clearing the air over other monies related to the burial which up to now are still missing or remain unaccounted for.

Immediately thereafter an account was opened where Douglas Odero’s wife and father are joint signatories.

This specific amount of donation is separate and should not be confused with the close to 800,000 handled by the committee led by Siaya Township Ward MCA James Obiero Otare and Sheila Olwanda.

As of the time of posting this DalanewsKe had not received a response to a questionnaire presented to Mr. Obiero Otare.

Independent investigations have revealed that neither  Lydiasmiling  nor George Adeya who both worked closely with Douglas Odero at the MPs office could be involved in the plunder of the burial funds. The two are only mentioned because of their proximity to the Alego-Usonga MP Samuel Onunga Atandi and the central role they played in the burial arrangements.

Otherwise, is it possible that the KES 30,000 listed as a donation from the Chairman was not remitted? Could it be that other donations of KES 5,000 by a committee member which was to be paid on his behalf by the MPs office was similarly not remitted?

Curiously, the two have refused to comment over the missing funds with Lydia simply saying: “An nyinga osekethre maongee Nying madong go madalos…..” [The whole charade has dragged my name in mud that I no longer have a reputation to save….]

Referring to an inquiry from the ODM Party Director of Communication, Phillip Etale on who was Dougy last night, George Adeya said: “Mae igoyo ni Etale oporo. It is abundantly clear that incase the two are clean they are, certainly, protecting someone above their pay grade.

Junior Oluoch confirmed that the amount remitted is safe in a joint account in the name of the father and the wife at the Kenya Commercial Bank, Siaya Branch as of last night.

Siaya Political Forum whose President is Fred Mboss, deputised by Phoebe Awuor, and has Susan Waka as the Treasurer and Junior Oluoch as the Admin has now come clean of the Douglas Odero burial fund collection drama.

So, where is the over KES 900,000 collected by James Obiero Otare and Sheila Olwanda?

Remember the family had two (2) Representatives in the committee who saw the collection pass the KES 1 million mark. It becomes rather difficult to alter their thinking over the existence of that money when they saw, heard and even touched some of the currency!
