Who is Siaya First Lady Professor Betty Kaari Murungi?
She is the only sibling of former Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi and the second wife of Siaya County Governor James Orengo. They are the parents of six children. She graduated from the University of Nairobi with a bachelor’s degree in law.
She also served as Vice Chairperson and Commissioner to the Kenya Truth Justice and Reconciliation Commission and as the African representative on the Board of Directors of the Trust Fund for Victims at the ICC from 2009 to 2013.
